| Description | Hi Kinbay YouTube issues are being observed by customers. - Youtube shuts down after playing the ad - YouTube app not running - black screen after running Youtube .. etc --> After rebooting, the issue seems to disappear. The cause is not clear, and the reproduction is also not clear. https://jira.skbroadband.com/browse/BTVV-8093 but it is observed that certain processor is killed during log review. 07-31 10:27:46.177 3848 4097 I ActivityManager: Killing 6335:com.google.android.partnersetup/u0a36 (adj 985): empty #17 So SKB focuses on com.google.android.partnersetup processors. and is making the following confirmation request about it. About com.google.android.partnersetup 1) features and roles of the processor 2) Why it is killed, And why it's not running again 3) How does com.google.android.partnersetup relate to YouTube? Hi YK When I tested it I found the below behavior. 1. Sometimes the [com.google.android.partnersetup] was started and killed whether YouTube started or not. 2. When I start and close the YouTube the [com.google.android.partnersetup] never start or killed by the system. So I think the process does not relate to YouTube. The system decided to kill the Google Partner Setup process because it was idle and had a low priority, likely to free up memory or other resources. This is a normal behavior in Android to manage resources efficiently. BR, Kinbay |

Hi Kinbay Thank you for updating the contents. The QA team has tried to reproduce in many ways, but it has not been reproduced. However, the Smart3 Youtube VoC is still maintained. And the YouTube app seems to have been updated again. ( to 5.01.313 ) we need to find a way to reproduce it, but we don't know yet. I'll let you know if there's an update. Thank you YK.Jung |
